Standard edition supports two database in single storage group (one is for mailbox and other is for public folder). It is launched in two editions sp1 and sp2, in SP1 the database size is 16 GB and in SP2 database size is 18GB with the maximum size 75 GB. But in Enterprise edition the database size is 8000 GB and it depends on hardware also.

Exchange database 2007 standard edition five database with up to five storage group which just expandable just two storage group in 2003 and lower versions. The default database size limit is 50 GB per database also that can be increased to 15 TB and no default database size limit for Enterprise edition of Exchange Server 2007.
